Access — How to Reach Hyuga Surf Camp
Hyuga Surf Camp is located in Hyuga City, Miyazaki Prefecture, on the east coast of Kyushu, southern Japan — close to Okuragahama and Kanegahama beaches.
By Air
Fly to Miyazaki Airport (KMI), which has direct domestic flights from Tokyo (Haneda), Osaka (Itami/Kansai), Nagoya, Fukuoka, and other cities. From the airport, Hyuga is about one hour to the north along the coast.
By Train
Take the JR Nippō Line to Hyūgashi Station (Hyuga市駅). Limited express trains connect from Miyazaki and Nobeoka. From Hyūgashi Station, the guesthouse and the beaches are a short taxi or car ride away.
By Car
A rental car is the easiest way to explore the coast and hop between surf spots. From Miyazaki Airport, take the Higashi-Kyushu Expressway north toward Hyuga (about one hour). Parking is available at the guesthouse.
Once You’re Here
Okuragahama Beach and Kanegahama Beach are both within easy reach — perfect for checking conditions morning and evening. We’re happy to point you to the best peak for the day’s swell and wind.
